- Ocean Legacy Foundation spoke to Fair Planet about their participation in a coalition to restore the cleanliness of the Motagua Basin in Guatemala. The Alliance for the Motagua River is led by a handful of NGOs that rely on collaborative efforts and education to fulfill their goal. Says Chloé Dubois, “The Alliance is not just an initiative, it is a socio-economic and environmental movement. One of the main differences between this and previous initiatives is that we are aware that this is a problem that requires everybody's contribution."

- Ocean Legacy Foundation collaborated with Victoria-based clothing line ANIAN to introduce buttons crafted from plastic oyster trays reclaimed from Baynes Sound, nestled between Denman and Vancouver Island.
- On March 19 and 20, the Pender Harbour and Area Residents Association (PHARA), SeaWolf Diving and the Ocean Legacy Foundation partnered to retrieve debris from the bottom of Pender Harbour. Ninety per cent of the haul was able to be recycled.
- Jenn Harper of Cheekbone Beauty joined The ‘At the Table’ roundtable, held at The Globe and Mail offices on Feb. 22, 2024. This was the first in a series of four intimate discussions, presented by Mastercard, to connect Indigenous business owners and industry leaders.
- Ocean Legacy Foundation became a member of the Canada Plastics Pact (CPP) as one of its expanding network of 104 Partners. Since the CPP launched in January 2021, various initiatives have been underway to address the opportunities and challenges to enacting systems change, such as the formation of strategic working groups that bring together the key stakeholders to tackle the pressing issues around plastic waste and pollution.
